We care for the wellbeing of the people who need aid
From the mountains to the valleys
To the waterways throughout the land
We are there to help the many
We are Peak Safety
I am a director here at Peak Safety. This means I facilitate connections with our tribe, both outward to our remarkable clients, and inward with our extraordinary staff.
What do you do when you are not at work?
My passion is gravity. I love to ski and mountain bike.
Where have you come from?
I am from a background of ski patrol management and crayfishing.
I work as an event medic and first aid instructor, with a bit of health and safety/projects/security on the side.
What do you do when you are not at work?
I try to get out on my mountain bike as much as possible, a bit of skiing in winter, some climbing in summer, and the occasional good movie.
Where have you come from?
I have spent most of my time ski patrolling at Whakapapa, Mt Ruapehu, with a few Canadian seasons thrown in between. Plus a few summers working in adventure tourism as a canyon guide, hiking guide and abseiling instructor.
I am the Academic Administrator for Peak Safety, and look after our PTE requirements and First Aid Training courses.
What do you do when you are not at work?
I love Mountain biking, Running, Adventure races and pottering in my garden!
Where have you come from?
My origin is from the West Coast of the South Island (Stillwater). I have come from an Outdoor Recreation/Tourism background - I also dabbled in the banking world.
Contract as an OFA instructor and Event Medic. I fit this around working as Training Manager for an Adventure Caving company and assessing for Skills Active Aotearoa.
What do you do when you are not at work?
Get outdoors with the family, help my kids develop a love for adventure. Coach basketball and hockey
Where have you come from?
Ruapehu is my mountain, Waikato is my river. If my wife and kids are with me, anywhere can be home.
Fun all lately but really keen to hit some more heights & rescue training - that’s typically my specialty. First Aid teaching with the occasional medic mahi is also a fun gig.
What do you do when you are not at work?
Mountain biking is a fav - watching my kids playing sport of which there is much! Hanging with good people - much learning and laughter here. Canyoning is part of my other job I love and getting out there when possible...
Where have you come from?
Ko Pirongia te Maunga, Tainui te Waka, Waipapa te Marae, Ngati Hikairo te Iwi ki Kawhia Moana, Kawhia Kai, Kawhia Tangata

I live in Hamilton and have spent a couple of decades in the Adventure Tourism Industry - Caving & Canyoning and associated sports & continue to play in these areas, but more moments these days with my Tamariki exploring life! Awesome!
I love to ride my bike, spend time with my family and (with less love) I'm renovating my house.
Where have you come from?
My family is from the West Coast of the North Island - Te Akau, but I have lived in Rotorua most of my adult life. In a medical sense, I have been a registered nurse for 17 years and currently work in a busy emergency department.
