Foundation Working at Height – 1 Day

If your team are working at height they need to be protected from a fall. This course enables participants to confidently use a safety harness system to keep themselves and others safe. Learners can expect to get hands-on with the relevant safety equipment to put the theory into practice. This course is based on the Unit Standard 23229.

People credited with this unit standard are able to:

• Demonstrate knowledge of the hazards associated with wearing a safety harness and associated equipment;
  
• Demonstrate knowledge of safety harnesses and associated systems and equipment;
  
• Check and fit a safety harness system;
  
• Use a safety harness system where a fall hazard exists at height; and
  
• Demonstrate knowledge of the rescue plan to be implemented in the event of a fall.
