Agricultural First Aid

Our primary industries are a huge part of our economy and whether it's out in the back blocks of a dry stock station, in the orchard, or in the cowshed, occasionally sh*t happens - literally and figuratively.

As such we reckon First Aid training should be fun, engaging, and specific to each workplace.

So we have developed an Agricultural First Aid course that sets up participants to manage emergencies in areas that the ambulance service will likely take a while to get to. We run these courses on-farm so expect scenarios involving vehicles, difficult terrain and the type of injuries more likely to occur in those settings.

Don’t expect to sit inside and listen all day. Participants will be challenged to solve emergencies specific to their job including; accident site management, systematic patient assessments, head, spine and crush injuries, bleeds, vehicle accidents, fractures/dislocations and medical emergencies, etc., and apply this learning to a hands-on, scenario heavy but fun training day. This is all combined with standard First Aid course content such as CPR and Defibrillation.

So get your Ag staff or rural community group together and we’ll come out to you to run a course based on your needs.

Unit standards are available – please select these on registration or email us to find out what is available.
